Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and PinMuse – Markus Gaeth ("PinMuse", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the PinMuse mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using PinMuse, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

PinMuse is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest.

1. The Service

PinMuse helps you digitize your wardrobe and match Pinterest-inspired looks against clothing you already own, using AI-powered image analysis and weather-aware recommendations. Outfit suggestions are generated automatically and are provided for inspiration only — PinMuse does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or suitability of any recommendation.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use PinMuse. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.

3. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, PinMuse grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded or Android device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and as permitted by the usage rules of the applicable app store (e.g., the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions). This license may also be used by other accounts associated with your purchase via Family Sharing, where offered by the app store.

4. Free Tier & Subscriptions

PinMuse offers a free tier and an optional auto-renewing PinMuse Premium subscription.

• Free tier: unlimited wardrobe storage and a limited number of AI styling suggestions (Pinterest-look matches and occasion outfits) per rolling 30-day period, with a higher allowance during your first 30 days. Current limits are shown in the app.
• PinMuse Premium: removes the styling-suggestion limit. Offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. The exact current price for each option is displayed in the app and in the app store listing before you purchase, and may vary by region and currency.
• Billing & renewal: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews for the same duration unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Managing & cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's account settings (iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions) — not within PinMuse itself, as all payments are processed by Apple or Google. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Payment processing: all payments are processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and never receive or store your payment card details.
• Refunds: refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies, not by PinMuse directly.
• Price changes: if we change subscription pricing, we will provide any notice required by law and by the applicable app store before the change applies to you.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload (e.g., wardrobe item photos). By uploading content, you grant PinMuse a license to process it solely to provide the Service to you — for example, to analyze a clothing item or match it against a look you selected. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content you provide.

6. Third-Party Services

PinMuse integrates with third-party services, including Pinterest (to access boards and pins you connect), AI providers (to analyze images and generate recommendations), and payment/subscription infrastructure (Apple, Google, and RevenueCat). Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third party's own terms. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is shared with each.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

PinMuse is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including the accuracy of AI-generated styling suggestions or weather data. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify the relevant app store (Apple or Google), which may refund the purchase price to you in accordance with its own policies; beyond that, we have no further warranty obligation to the extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PinMuse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including statutory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction.

9. Termination

You may stop using PinMuse and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. Terminating your account does not entitle you to a refund for any period already paid for, except as required by applicable law or app store policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective Date" above when we do. Continuing to use PinMuse after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you are resident.

12. Additional Terms for App Store Downloads

If you downloaded PinMuse from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, as required by Apple:

• These Terms are between you and PinMuse only, not with Apple, and PinMuse — not Apple — is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for PinMuse.
• In the event of any failure of PinMuse to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to PinMuse.
• PinMuse, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to PinMuse or your possession and/or use of PinMuse.
• PinMuse, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any claim that PinMuse or your possession and use of it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You and PinMuse acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
