- Wardrobe images: photographs of clothing items you upload to build your digital wardrobe within the app.

- Approximate location: coarse location data (city/region level) used solely to provide weather-appropriate outfit recommendations. Precise GPS coordinates are not stored.

2. How We Use Information

- Match your Pinterest-saved looks with items in your personal wardrobe.

3. Pinterest Integration
PinMuse integrates with the Pinterest API to allow you to connect your Pinterest account and access your saved fashion boards and pins. When you connect your Pinterest account:
- We request only the OAuth scopes necessary to read the boards and pins you explicitly select for use within PinMuse.
- Your Pinterest access tokens are stored securely and used solely to retrieve content you have authorized.
- You may disconnect your Pinterest account from PinMuse at any time through the app settings or directly via Pinterest's connected apps settings at pinterest.com/settings/security.
- Upon disconnection, we will delete your stored Pinterest tokens. Cached pin data may be retained for a short period before automatic deletion.
Your use of Pinterest through PinMuse is also subject to Pinterest's Privacy Policy.
4. AI Services
PinMuse uses artificial intelligence and machine learning services to analyze clothing images and generate outfit recommendations. This may involve transmitting images and metadata to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI or similar services).
- Image data sent to AI providers is used solely for the purpose of generating outfit analysis and recommendations within your session.
- We select AI providers that offer appropriate data processing agreements and do not use submitted data for training third-party models without consent.
- AI-generated suggestions are recommendations only. PinMuse does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of any styling recommendation.
5. Location Data
PinMuse requests access to your device's approximate location (city or region level) in order to retrieve current weather conditions and provide seasonally appropriate outfit suggestions.
- Location is requested only when you use the weather-based styling feature.
- Precise GPS coordinates are not stored on our servers.
- You may deny location access at any time through your device settings. Denying location access will disable weather-based outfit recommendations but will not affect other app functionality.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by reputable cloud hosting providers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures — including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest — to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by applicable law. When you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Third-party services we may use include:
- Pinterest API — for board and pin access.
